Click for class schedules Sunday Classes: Adults Wednesday Morning Prayer and Bible Study Wednesday mornings Every Wednesday, anyone interested is invited to join Fr. Donavan for a short service of Morning Prayer in the Chapel, followed by an examination of the Gospel of John. Depending on the interest of the group, other methods of Bible-based meditation, prayer, and spiritual practice, including Lectio Divina, Centering Prayer, and praying the Rosary, both Traditional and Anglican, will be explored. Lunchtime Holy Eucharist with Healing Every Wednesday, 12:10pm at the Church Join Father Donavan in the church around the altar every Wednesday afternoon, at 12:10pm for Holy Eucharist with the Laying on of Hands and Anointing with Oil for Healing. You don’t necessarily need to be sick yourself to come to the altar for healing and anointing. It is encouraged that we bring to the altar of Christ the names of others in need of healing, to offer a special prayer and to receive anointing for them. This service can also offer a few moments of healing, quiet, and prayer in the middle of our busy lives and work. Theology On Tap Every 4th Wednesday, from 7pm – 9pm Every 4th Wednesday, St. Peter’s hosts a “Theology on Tap” event at a local restaurant. These gatherings will include drinks and conversations focused on different topics that seek to engage the spiritual issues many adults deal with, from different spiritualities and religions, to doubt and questions, to the intersection of art and culture with the spiritual. Conversations will be lead by Fr. Donavan or another guest, and the gatherings are opened to anyone in the parish or community. EDUCATION FOR MINSTRY (EfM) AT ST. PETER’S Yearly, September through May EfM has a long tradition at St. Peter’s and has spread to include ministers and members from other churches around Bourbon County. EfM is a distance learning theological education program of the School of Theology of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Participants commit one year at a time to meet regularly in seminars led by a trained mentor. Completion of the program takes four years, during which participants study the Bible, church history, theology, and ethics.
