St. Peter's is proud to have Father Cain as our Rector.

Fr. Donavan graduated from The General Theological Seminary on May 16th, 2007 and assumed the role of Deacon-in-Charge of St. Peter's in June of that same year. On the Feast of St. Thomas the Apostle, December 21st, 2007, Fr. Donavan was ordained a Priest at St. Peter's by the Right Rev. Stacy F. Sauls, Bishop of Lexington. He was installed as St. Peter’s Rector on May 18th, 2008. To see pictures of his ordination as a priest, click here.

In addition to his MDiv. from The General Theological Seminary, Fr. Donavan also holds a Master of Arts degree from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC in Appalachian Regional Studies. Fr. Donavan brings to St. Peter’s a strong love for the Anglo-Catholic worship tradition, a calling to build stronger outreach partnerships, a passion for Christian Education and empowerment of the laity, and a commitment to evangelism and preaching the gospel.
